What is Skilled Nursing Shift Care?

AccuCare’s Skilled Nursing Shift Care program provides professional home medical care. Services are administered by clinically trained licensed professionals such as registered nurses (RN) and licensed practical nurses (LPN). This higher level of expertise helps clients who are managing ongoing complex medical conditions, and is available in shifts from 2 to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including major holidays).

  • Medication Management
  • Administering Tracheostomy/Ventilator, Feeding Tubes, and Catheters/Ostomies
  • Paraplegia or Quadriplegia
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Rehabilitation
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or Muscular Dystrophy (MD)

How does Skilled Nursing Shift Care work

Once your insurance or payment method is approved, we will schedule a free assessment in your home. During the in-home assessment, we will begin the process of developing a plan of care that best suits you or your loved one. We will recommend a shift schedule based on your medical needs, then plan for caregiver meet and greets to answer any questions you have. They will then begin care as quickly as necessary.

Throughout the duration of our stay in your home, we will be on call and available 24/7 to assist in any way. Our LPNs and RNs are always prepared.
